Personal and business coach
Scott grew up in a rural farming area of Tasmania. His parents and grandparents were all hard-working salt of the earth type people and all connected well with nature. All were some sort of small business operators, farm managers, kitchen managers, and hard labour workers over their time. Those values steered Scott through many successful and sometimes testing careers in retail, management, hospitality, tourism, accounting, consulting, training as well as involvement in the motor industry.
He is passionate about life, his children, his relationships and the natural world and of course, his two business interests: helping people enjoy their personal or business life more through the consulting services of “All Round Guide” as well as taking people on guided fly fishing tours for trout through “Tasmania Fly Fishing”.
His qualifications include an Advanced Diploma of Business – Accounting, Certification as a NLP Practitioner and Coach, Certified Workplace Trainer and Teacher, Small Business Management Certification and is a member of the NLP Association of Australia, the Institute of Leaders and Management as well as being a member of the International Institute of Complimentary Therapists.
His upbringing in a small country town in the midlands of Tasmania was fortunate and he was blessed enough to experience farm life and the country. However, at an early age, his family moved closer to the comforts of populated areas due to a family tragedy and loss. He schooled and played sport like many others and went on to work in kitchens and the motor industry before settling into a junior management position in a retail department store.
Over the next years, he worked his way up to store manager and was lucky enough to open many new stores in Tasmania and some in Victoria. And once he moved on from this stage, he finalised all of his qualifications in business, accounting, management and training so that he could open his own consulting service offering accounting, bookkeeping and management consulting services to local businesses. For a while he even moved way left field into a master franchise car detailing operation.
And like the rest of us, Scott experienced relationship difficulties and successes. He has experienced times of practicing self-care and other times of not doing so well. He has had what some people term as failures and what others term as successes but he has always prided himself as being someone who likes to get in and have a go at life. His favourite saying is, “Life, get into it, not out of it”.
Scott has since gained valuable qualifications and years of experience in personal therapy, life coaching and counselling and now combines all of the above skills and experiences when not spending time with his kids, loved ones or out fly fishing in nature.
